GB/T 6995.5-2008 Markings for electric wires and cables - Part 5: Identifications of insulated cores of power cables English
1 Scope
This Part of GB/T 6995 is applicable to the identification markings for the insulated cores of power cables, including oil filled cables, solid type cables and extruded solid insulated cables.
In addition to the requirements of this Part, Markings for insulated cores shall also meet the corresponding requirements of GB/T 6995.1-2008 and GB/T 6995.2-2008.

For dated references, subsequent amendments to (excluding correction to), or revisions of, any of them are not applicable to this Part. 3 Core Identification
3.1 Number and colour identification markings are adopted in the insulated cores of power cables.
3.2 Oil filled cable and solid type cable shall adopt number identification.
3.3 Extruded solid insulated cable adopts colour identification, but in particular cases, number identification is allowed.
4 Number Identification
4.1 General Requirements
For oil filled cable and solid type cable, Arabic numeral marking shall be printed on the paper tape of the outer insulation layer of insulated core; unless otherwise specified, the number marking shall be white.
The number markings shall be clear and legible.
