3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 6326 apply.
4 Technical requirements
4.1 Tyre selection
4.1.1 Tyres intended for retreading shall have the following information on their sidewall markings:
——Tyre specification;
——Speed symbol (or maximum driving speed);
——Load index (or maximum load-carrying capacity or level);
——"CCC" and other certification markings.
4.1.2 Tyres that fall under any of the following conditions shall not be used for retreading:
——The production date exceeds 5 years;
——There are obvious damages caused by overloading and underinflation;
——The carcass ruptures or undergoes abnormal deformation;
——The bead is broken or damaged;
——There is obvious erosion by oil or chemical substances or water;
——The tread is polished and the cord is exposed;
——The sidewall is worn and the cord is exposed;
——Any part of the tyre shows delamination or voids;
——The structure of the sidewall area is damaged;
——The inner liner is aged or damaged and cannot be repaired;
——The inner line of the tyre without the inner tube is aged or damaged and cannot be repaired;
——The belt has curled edges and looseness;;
——The carcass undergoes cord breakage or misalignment;
——Although the tread still has remaining patterns, the uneven local wear has damaged the breaker or belt;
——When the pre-vulcanized tread retreading method is adopted, there are continuous aging cracks on the sidewall and shoulder with a depth of 2mm or more; When the model retreading method is adopted, the shoulder has aging cracks or cuts that are deep into the casing or the ply.
4.1.3 The tyre carcass used for retreading may have penetration damage. The size, quantity and location of the most penetration damage shall meet those specified in Table 1, for diagonal tyres, these items shall meet those specified in Table 2.
