ＧＢ／Ｔ７１２１《农林轮式拖拉机防护装置强度试验方法和验收条件》分为四个部分，本部分为ＧＢ／Ｔ７１２１的第２部分。本部分代替ＧＢ７１２１—１９８６《农林轮式拖拉机防护装置强度试验方法和验收条件》的后置式动态试验方法部分。本部分规定了农林轮式拖拉机防护装置的动态试验方法和验收条件。防护装置试验的目的是在于使拖拉机正常作业时由翻车事故造成驾驶员受伤的可能性减至最校用模拟拖拉机向后或侧面翻车时（悬空摔落除外）施加于驾驶室或安全架上的载荷来检验防护装置的强度。本试验可检查拖拉机防护装置和连接支架的强度以及由施加在加载装置上的载荷可能影响的那些拖拉机零件的强度。本部分适用于至少具有两轴的充气轮胎拖拉机，其质量为 600 kg ～ 6000 kg，后轮最小轮距应大于 1150 mm。 本部分与ＧＢ７１２１—１９８６相比主要变化如下：
———对引用标准的有效性进行重新确认；
———增加“农林拖拉机”、“防护装置”的术语和定义；
———增加了第４章“允许测量误差”，对公差进行了修改；
———增加了符号“犪ｈ”、“犪ｖ”；
———补充第６章“试验设备”内容；
———对试验顺序按前轴承重进行区分；
———对后撞击试验的提升高度之一H＝５．７４×１０－２I改成H＝５．７３×１０－２I；
———对前撞击试验的提升高度统一为H＝１２５＋０．０２mｔ；
———对侧撞击试验的撞击点进行修改，并把提升高度统一为H＝１２５＋０．１５mｔ；
———对容身区进行修改，并增加双向行驶拖拉机的工况；
———在验收条件中，增加铰接式拖拉机和拖拉机朝撞击方向翻车时的内容。
