本标准适用于民用机场使用的助航灯具。灯具为滑行、起飞或进近着陆的飞机提供灯光引导信号。民用机场灯具的种类较多，按安装方式分类有嵌入式机场灯具和立式机场灯具，按用途可分为跑道用灯具、跑道中线延长线地区用灯具、滑行道用灯具和停机坪用灯具，高杆照明灯具、投光灯具和停靠引导灯具除外。直升机场用灯具不适用。本标准规定了灯具的一般要求，本标准应与GB 7000.1及具体产品标准一起使用。
