1 Scope
This standard specifies the general requirements of electronic equipment consoles (hereinafter referred to as "consoles"), console surface requirements, and arrangement, types and basic dimensions of consoles.
This standard is applicable to electronic equipment consoles installed on the ground.

The provisions contains in the following normative documents which, through reference in this text, shall constitute provisions of this Standard. For dated reference, subsequent amendments to (excluding correction to), or revisions of, any of these publications do not apply. However, all parties coming to an agreement according to this standard are encouraged to study whether the latest edition of these documents is applicable. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document is applicable to these specifications.

3 General Requirements
3.1 The dimension of the subrack panels installed on or in the consoles shall meet the requirements of GB/T 19520.1-2007 and GB/T 3047.1-1995.
3.2 Where assembling consoles are designed, the most important and most frequently-used devices in the operation process such as control operation and information display shall be arranged at the same position.
3.3 If necessary, consoles shall be provided with drawers and portable plates in order to store documents and notepads.
3.4 Consoles shall be provided with necessary activity space for the legs and feet of operation personnel.
