1 Test Picture
1.1 Number of sheets of pictures
5~7 still pictures are used, and some continuous clips containing active contents may be used. Generally, still pictures are used. Where additional damage of picture is caused by active contents in it, continuous clips containing active contents may be used.
1.2 Picture contents
Scene contents and color picture composition shall be certainly sensitive to different objective distortions, as detailed below:
a. Common colors, e.g. skin color, sky blue, grass green and red flag color, etc.
b. Different average brightness, contrast grades, detail levels and picture compositions, e.g. indoor, outdoor, distant view, medium view, close view, figure, scene, multiple details, medium details, few details as well as complicated background, simple background, etc.
c. Various color tones and saturation levels.

Test pictures shall be color slide or color photo with relatively high quality.
2 Viewing Conditions
2.1 Appropriate viewing conditions are relevant to the field frequency of TV system; conditions of viewing room of 50Hz field frequency system are shown in the table below:
