Test method for qualified work zone of heat treatment furnace
1 Scope
This document specifies the classification of heat treatment furnaces by temperature uniformity, initial test and periodic test of qualified work zone, test systems, test methods, evaluation of results, recording and reporting, and management requirements.
This document is applicable to determining the qualified work zone of a heat treatment furnace that meets the temperature uniformity requirements within the service temperature range. This document is not applicable to the work zone in the continuous furnaces without fixed process temperature or required temperature uniformity. This document may be used as a reference by other heating equipment

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 7232, GB/T 13324 and GB/T 30825 as well as the following apply.
3.1
process temperature
heating temperature specified by the heat treatment process according to the purpose of workpiece heat treatment and the type of material
3.2
temperature uniformity
uniformity of the temperature within the qualified work zone of the heat treatment furnace, i.e. the maximum deviation of the temperature of each test point within the qualified work zone from the set temperature
Note: It is usually expressed as "±℃".
3.3
qualified work zone
working space in a heating furnace, determined through temperature detection to meet the process temperature and temperature uniformity of heat treatment
3.4
previewed qualified work zone
temperature measurement space assumed in advance according to the structure, control mode and other conditions of the heat treatment furnace before testing in order to determine the qualified work zone of a heat treatment furnace, generally the working space specified by the heat treatment furnace manufacturer or relevant standards
3.5
no load test
test for determining the qualified work zone in the heat treatment furnace without workpieces or substitutes
3.6
load test
test for determining the qualified work zone in the heat treatment furnace with workpieces or substitutes
3.7
initial test
test of the qualified work zone to determine the qualified operating zone, working temperature range and furnace category, for the heat treatment furnaces just put into production, undergoing overhaul or technical transformation, or going through maintenance, change or adjustment during use
3.8
periodic test
regular test of the qualified work zone of heat treatment furnace during use
