1 Scope
This standard specifies the X-ray facilities for industrial defect detection, the locations for defect detecting operation and the requirements and monitoring methods for the radiological health protection of radiation staff and the public.
This standard is applicable to the production and use of industrial X-ray detecting facilities (hereinafter referred to as "X-ray facilities") below 500kV.
2 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
2.1 X-ray defect detecting facilities
It is the general term of the equipment, which includes the X-ray tube head assembly, the control box and the connecting cables, for the X-ray detection of defects inside an object. The facilities can be divided into directional ones and circumferential ones according to the X-ray orientation and the opening scope, and stationary ones and movable ones according to the installation form.
2.2 X-ray defect detecting in the room
It refers to the working process of detecting with X-ray photography for the defects inside the objects in the room.
2.3 X-ray defect detecting on-the-spot
It refers to the working process of detecting with X-ray photography for the defects inside the objects outdoor, in the production workshop or on the installation site.
