GJB 5021-2001 Temperature test methods for solid rocket motor
1 Scope
1.1 Subject Contents
This standard specifies the general requirements, test preparation, test procedures and troubleshooting for temperature test of solid rocket motor (hereinafter referred to as motor).
1.2 Field of application
This standard is applicable to the routine temperature test, temperature cycle test and temperature shock test of motor. The temperature test of motor parts, components and assemblies can be carried out by reference to this standard.
2 Normative references
There is no provision in this clause.
3 Definitions
3.1
room temperature
temperature of space in constant temperature chamber (box)
3.2
grain temperature
temperature of the grain column in the motor combustion chamber.
3.3
heat preservation temperature
test temperature should be reached as required
3.4
heat preservation deviation
permissible fluctuation range of heat preservation temperature
3.5
heating-up (cooling-down) rate
the amount of room temperature change per unit time, in the process of continuous heating or cooling, during temperature test
3.6
heat preservation time
the shortest time required for motor as a whole to reach the heat preservation temperature, from the room temperature or grain column surface temperature to reach the heat preservation temperature
3.7
transfer time
duration of motor has to go through from exit heat preservation environment to ignition
3.8
heat preservation thickness
the radial thickness of grain column including the insulation layer and lining layer, and the composite shell can be treated as insulation layer; or the radius for solid column
3.9
under test interruption
motor interruption in the process of heat preservation, due to an accident, the test temperature is lower than the lower limit of specified high temperature or normal temperature heat preservation (or higher than the upper limit of low temperature heat preservation)
3.10
over test interruption
motor interruption in the process of heat preservation, due to an accident, the test temperature exceeds the upper limit of specified high temperature or normal temperature heat preservation (or lower than the lower limit of low temperature heat preservation)
3.11
routine temperature test
temperature test carried out under the specified conditions of high temperature, normal temperature and low temperature
3.12
thermal cycling test
temperature test in which high temperature, normal temperature and low temperature influences are alternately applied to the motor, according to the rule of slow temperature change
