1 Scope
This standard specifies the safety requirements of excavation work in workplace for chemical engineering enterprises and the management of “Safety permit of excavation work” (hereinafter referred to as excavation work permit).
This standard is applicable to excavation work in chemical engineering enterprises’ workplaces.

3 Terminologies and Definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terminologies and definitions apply.

Workplace
The area where chemicals are produced.
3.2
Excavation work
Work in which the depth into earth of digging, piling, drilling, probing and anchoring is more than 0.5m and the underground concealed facilities are possibly affected when using various construction machinery.
