1.0.1 This code is applicable to the external corrosion protection for non-stereotype equipment manufactured by carbon steel, cast iron and low alloy steel, pipe (including overhead, trench and burying laying) and steel structure (including platform, support, handrail and staircase).
1.0.2 The corrosion protection methods of this code include nonmetallic coating and cladding; exclude other corrosion protection method such as cathodic protection.
1.0.3 The corrosion protection design for the coating of external surface of chemical equipment and pipe shall be carried out according to this code. The plan shall be selected by the designer according to specific circumstances (economic index and corrosion protection effect) in engineering design. The new corrosion protection material and corrosion protection structure may only be adopted after scientific experiment and practice certification with good effect or appraisal by the department concerned.
1.0.4 All raw materials must be in accordance with the relevant technical index of the relevant standard or this code and shall be provided with product certificate and inspection information. The materials shall be used within specified validity period; the overdue materials may only be used after qualified inspection.
1.0.5 The corrosion protection construction must be carried out according to the construction instruction of the national current relevant specifications and corrosion protection material manufacturer.
