This standard specifies the scope of responsibilities of the vessel and heat exchanger disciplines and the main tasks of each design stage, which is applicable to design management.
2 Scope of responsibilities
2.0.1 Be responsible for product design and mechanical design calculation of vessels (including reactors, converters, towers, separators, storage tanks, storage bunkers, gas holders, spherical vessels, regenerators, settling tanks, general filters, silencers, etc.) and heat exchangers (including tubular heat exchanger, double-tube heat exchanger, plate heat exchanger, spiral plate heat exchanger, plate-fin heat exchanger, etc.) in each stage of engineering project design.
2.0.2 Collect, develop and improve the design standards, specifications and regulations of the corresponding discipline.
2.0.3 Be responsible for the technical training of and knowledge updating for the personnel of the corresponding discipline.
2.0.4 Provide the Design Manager with the engineering progress report of this discipline; assist the operation department in facilitating the signing of the contract; assist relevant departments to deal with the problems related to the equipment technology and cost between such departments and users, proprietary technology (or patent) owners, manufacturers, etc. which involve the corresponding discipline.
