1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and labeling, as well as packaging, transportation and storage of silica gel type A.
This standard is applicable to narrow pore lump silica gel and narrow pore ball silica gel, which are made from sulfuric acid and sodium silicate. The above-mentioned products are collectively referred to as silica gel type A. The narrow pore silica gel is mainly used as a gas purifying agent, a desiccant, an air humidity regulator and a catalyst carrier, and is used for refining and separating petrochemical products and dehydrating and refining organic products.
Molecular formula: SiO2•nH2O
