1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and labeling, as well as packaging, transportation and storage of silica gel type B.
This standard is applicable to the silica gel type B, which is made from sodium silicate and sulfuric acid. The silica gel type B is mainly used as an air humidity regulator, catalyst and carrier, and padding material for pets, as well as raw materials of fine chemicals like chromatography silica gel.
Molecular formula: SiO2•nH2O
