The issuing authority of this standard shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights. This standard was proposed by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the Subcommittee on Inorganic Chemical Industry of National Technical Committee on Chemical of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC63/SC1). Sodium bisulfite for industrial use 1 Scope This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, labeling, packaging, transportation, and storage of sodium bisulfite for industrial use. This standard is applicable to sodium bisulfite for industrial use, which is mainly used for bleaching cotton fabrics and as a reducing agent in dyes, paper making, leather making, chemical synthesis, and other industries. It may also be used to synthesize intermediates, antichlors, mordants, and depigmenting agents of organic drugs. Molecular formula: NaHSO3 Relative molecular mass: 104.06 (as per the international relative atomic mass in 2001) 2 Normative references The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. For dated references, subsequent amendments (excluding corrections) to, or revisions, of any of these publications do not apply. However, parties to agreements based on this standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the normative documents indicated below. For undated references, the latest edition applies.
