1 Scope
This standard is applicable to the determination of water absorption rate of insullac films, i.e. a sample is immersed in distilled water at a constant temperature and expressed as a percentage of its mass increase after a certain period of time.
2 Materials and apparatus
2.1 Copper sheet: T2, hard, 50 mm×50 mm×(0.08 mm~0.12 mm);
2.2 Balance: with a sensitivity of 0.0001 g;
2.3 Qualitative filter paper;
2.4 Glass container: for distilled water.
3 Determination method
Prepare three samples according to the requirements of HG/T 3855 Preparation of Insullac films. Before immersed in the paint, the copper sheets shall be weighed in advance. After immersed in the paint twice and dried, they shall be weighed again (if the paint is oven-dried, samples shall be weighed after being taken out of the oven and placed in a dryer for 30 min). Then immerse the whole sample vertically into the distilled water at (23±2)℃ in glass container. Their surface shall not be attached with bubbles, and they shall not contact with each other or with the container wall.
After 24 hours of immersion, take out samples with tweezers, dry the surface of insullac films with filter paper, and then immediately weigh the samples. The time from taking each sample out of water to finishing the weigh shall not exceed 2 min.
