1 Scope
This standard specifies the labeling, materials, requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of borosilicate sight glasses for pressure pipelines.
This standard is applicable to sight glasses made by physical strengthening and tempering process and used for observation holes of pressure pipelines (or containers). The maximum allowable working temperature of the glass shall be not more than 280℃, and the working pressure shall be less than 5.0MPa.

Product labeling consists of standard number and main parameters. Marking example as shown in Figure 1: tempered borosilicate sight glass with outer diameter d1 of 100mm, thickness s of 15mm and working pressure of 2.5MPa are labeled as follows:
