本标准规定了采用国际照明委员会(Commission Internationale de LEclairage，以下简称CIE)1931标准色度系统或CIE1964标准色度系统测量光学功能薄膜颜色的方法。
CIE 1931标准色度系统的三刺激值和色品坐标适用于1°~4°视场时光学功能薄膜的视觉等同颜色；CIE 1964标准色度系统的三刺激值和色品坐标适用于大于4°视场时光学功能薄膜的视觉等同颜色。本标准适用于光学功能薄膜透射色及反射色的测量，也适用于其他透明或半透明物体颜色的测量。
