This Standard specifies an electrochemical method for the determination of dissolved oxygen in water.
This Standard is applicable to the determination of dissolved oxygen in surface water, groundwater, domestic sewage, industrial wastewater and saline water.
The method of this Standard measures oxygen in water corresponding to 0% to 100% saturation. However, it also permits measurement of values higher than 100% (20mg/L), i.e. supersaturation.
