1 Scope
This technical requirement specifies the technical performance requirements and performance test methods for water quality automatic analyzer of total phosphorus for surface water, industrial sewage and municipal sewage, and is applicable to the development, production and performance inspection of such instruments.
2 Normative references
The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. For dated references, subsequent amendments (excluding corrections) to, or revisions, of any of these publications do not apply. However, parties to agreements based on this standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the normative documents indicated below. For undated references, the latest edition of the normative document applies.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1 specimen
surface water, industrial sewage and municipal sewage led into the automatic analyzer
3.2 correction fluid
correction fluid prepared in order to obtain the same indicated value as the total phosphorus concentration of the specimen, including the following types:
3.2.1 zero correction fluid
3.2.2 range correction fluid
3.3 zero drift
percentage of the change in the indicated value of the automatic analyzer within a certain period of time relative to the measuring range of the automatic analyzer when the zero correction fluid specified in this technical requirement is used for continuous testing of specimen
3.4 range drift
percentage of the change in the indicated value of the instrument within a certain period of time relative to the determination range of the automatic analyzer when the range correction fluid specified in this technical requirement is used for continuous testing of specimen
3.5 mean time between failures
ratio of the total operation time (h) of the automatic analyzer to the number of failure times during the inspection, expressed as "MTBF", in h/time
