1 Scope
This standard specifies manufacturing, installation and acceptance requirements of boiler drum internals.
This standard is applicable to fixed steam boiler drum internals.
2 Normative References
The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this standard, constitute provisions of this standard. At time of publication, the editions indicated were valid. All the standards will be revised, all parties coming to an agreement according to this standard are encouraged to study whether the latest editions of the following standards are applicable.
JB/T 1613-1993 Specification for Welding of Boiler Pressure Parts
JB/T 1615-1991 Technique Specification for Painting and Packaging of Boiler
JB 3375-1991 Receiving Acceptance of Materials for Boiler Construction
3 Technical Requirements
3.1 Material
3.1.1 The materials for manufacturing drum internals shall meet design drawing provisions and relevant standards provisions.
3.1.2 Welding materials for manufacturing drum internals must have receiving acceptance by inspection department according to the requirements of JB 3375 and shall not be used until they are qualified.
3.2 Welding
3.2.1 During drum internals welding, arc strike shall not be carried out on the boiler drum body; if electric arc hits the boiler drum inwall, grinding or repair welding shall be carried out for the hit positions according to boiler drum requirements.
3.2.2 In the drum internals, for the bolted construction inconvenient for installation and disassembling, the nuts may be welded firmly on the corresponding position and the bolts shall be ensured to be convenient for installation and disassembling.
3.2.3 When welding the bolt, do not damage the thread and the bolt shall be vertical to the welded parts surface.
3.2.4 If the boiler drum is required for heat treatment, the relevant parts welded directly with the boiler drum shall be welded before heat treatment of the boiler drum. If after heat treatment, the non-compression components shall be welded on the boiler drum, the requirements of JB/T 1613 shall be complied with.
3.2.5 In the drum internals, all the seal weld shall meet the design drawing requirements and the weld shall be free from such defects as missing weld, burn through, crack and air hole.
3.3 In the drum internals, all the supports shall have adequate strength and stiffness and must be welded firmly to the boiler drum. The thickness of the steel plate piece used for sealing shall not be less than 3mm.
