Fire resistance test of valves
1 Subject content and applicable scope
This standard specifies the general requirements, test system, test methods and performance requirements of fire resistance test of valves.
This standard is applicable to all kinds of nominal dimension valves with fire resistance requirements and nominal pressure (PN) not greater than 42.0 MPa.
2 Normative references
GB 7306 Pipe threads where pressure-tight joints are made on the threads
3 Terms
3.1
symmetrical valve
valve along the axis of both ends of the valve body, with the same internal structure dimension on both sides of the midline of the opening and closing parts
3.2
asymmetric valve
valve along the axis of both ends of the valve body, with different internal structural dimensions on both sides of the midline of the opening and closing parts
4 General requirements
4.1 Symmetrical valves that may be installed in both directions shall only be tested in one installation direction. Asymmetric valves that may be installed in both directions shall be tested once in each of the two installation directions, and the second test may be carried out after renovation with the same valve, or the other installation direction test may be carried out with another same valve. Uniaxial valves that may be installed in both directions shall only be tested in one installation direction.
