1 Scope
This standard specifies the product structure and classification, basic parameters, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging and storage for electromagnetic flowmeters (hereinafter referred to as "flowmeter").
This standard is applicable to the electromagnetic flowmeters used for measuring the conducting liquid flow in closed pipeline.
This standard is not applicable to plug-in electromagnetic flowmeters and the electromagnetic flowmeters used for measuring open channel flow.

For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 18659-2002 and those below apply.
3.1
constant of primary device
an inherent factor of sensor, equivalent to the electromotive force of signal of a certain field current, or the field current producing a certain electromotive force, at 1m/s flow rate. It may serve as the ratio of electromotive force of signal to reference signal of magnetic field.
