1 Scope
This standard specifies the pattern types, parameter sizes, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of the resolving power test target.
This standard is applicable to the resolving power test target used for elevating the image quality of the telescope objective lens, stereo microscope, projection objective lens and optical parts and components.

The pattern of resolving power test target may be divided into the following two types:
Type A: Consisting of 25 line combination units with the line width in decreasing order, a diamond pattern and two pairs of short-line marks, see Figure 1.
