1 General Provisions
1.0.1 This Standard is formulated in order to unify testing method for adhesive strength of tapestry bricks in construction engineering, and ensure the bonding quality of tapestry bricks in construction engineering.
1.0.2 This standard is applicable to the testing for adhesive strength of tapestry brick for construction engineering external wall.
1.0.3 Testing for adhesive strength of tapestry brick for construction engineering external wall shall comply with the requirements in the current relevant standards of the nation, besides this Standard.
2 Terms
2.0.1 Standard test block
Standard specimen made of 45 steel or chrome steel in dimension: length×width×thickness: 95mm×45mm×(6~8) mm or 40mm×40mm×(6~8)mm.
2.0.2 Base
Concrete wall body or masonry used as major structure or enclosing structure of building.
2.0.3 Joint
Rectangular or square joint cut with a cutting saw from tapestry brick surface to base surface, by reference of standard test block length and width.
2.0.4 Bonding coat
Bonding material layer for fixing tapestry bricks.
2.0.5 Cohesive force
Breaking tensile force (value) on interfaces of tapestry brick and binding coat, of binding coat self, of binding coat to leveling course, of leveling course, and of leveling course to base, under the action of the tensile force perpendicular to the surface.
2.0.6 Cohesive strength
Unit-area cohesive force on interface of tapestry brick and binding coat, of binding coat self, of binding coat to leveling course, of leveling course, and of leveling course to base.
3 Basic Requirements
3.0.1 Adhesive strength tester shall be calibrated at least annually, in case of abnormal condition found, shall be repaired and calibrated at any time.
3.0.2 Adhesive strength of tapestry brick shall be re-tested when the prefabricated wall panels with tapestry brick enter into the construction site.
3.0.3 Prefabricated wall panel with tapestry bricks shall meet the following requirements:
1 The manufacturer shall provide type test reports indicating the adhesive strength testing results of tapestry brick, and the adhesive strength testing results shall meet the requirements of this Standard.
2 In re-testing, tapestry brick glued prefabricated wall panel of same type per 1000m2 shall be regarded as a testing lot, insufficiency to 1000m2 is counted as 1000m2; a group, 3 panels shall be taken out from each lot. A specimen shall be made from each panel for testing tapestry brick adhesive strength.
3.0.4 Site-gluing tapestry brick on external wall shall meet the following requirements:
1 Adhesive strength of tapestry brick template shall be tested before construction.
2 The supervision organization shall randomly select a building worker for gluing external wall tapestry brick, and ask him/her glue at least 1m2 of tapestry brick template on each base; and a group, composed of 3 tapestry brick adhesive strength specimens, shall be prepared from each type of template.
3 Construction process shall be strictly controlled according to the bonding mix proportion and the construction technology after the adhesive strength of tapestry brick template meet the requirements.
3.0.5 Adhesive strength of tapestry brick shall be tested after completing the external wall tapestry brick works glued on site.
3.0.6 In site gluing tapestry brick adhesive strength test, each 1000m2 of wall tapestry brick shall be regarded as a testing lot, insufficiency to 1000 m2 shall be counted 1000m2; a group, composed of 3 specimens, shall be taken from each lot; at least a group of specimens shall be randomly selected per 3 adjacent storeys, and the sampling interval shall not be less than 500mm.
3.0.7 When gluing external wall tapestry brick with cement-based adhesive, adhesive strength test for tapestry brick may be carried out according to the time specified in the adhesive operation instructions or after 14 days from gluing external wall tapestry brick. where the adhesive strength cannot reach the requirement within 28 days after gluing or there is dispute, the adhesive strength tested within a greed time of 28~ 60d shall prevail.
