Introduction of JGJ 149-2006

1 General Provisions 1.0.1 This specification is formulated with a view to implementing the national technical and economic policies, achieving safety and usability, advanced technology and economic rationality and ensuring quality in the design and construction of concrete structures with specially shaped columns. 1.0.2 This specification is primarily applicable to the design and construction of concrete structures with specially shaped columns in such ordinary residential buildings of non-seismic design or of seismic design with seismic fortification intensity 6, 7 (0.10g, 0.15g) and 8 (0.20g). 1.0.3 In addition to this specification, the design and construction of concrete structures with specially shaped columns shall also comply with those specified in the current relevant standards of the nation. ? 2 Terms and Symbols 2.1 Terms 2.1.1 specially shaped column column of L-section, T-section and cross-section and with the ratio of section height to section thickness of each column leg not greater than 4 2.1.2 structure with specially shaped columns frame structure and frame-shear wall structure with specially shaped columns 2.1.3 ratio of section height to section thickness of column leg ratio of section height to section thickness of column leg of specially shaped column 2.2 Symbols 2.2.1 Action and action effects Gj——the representative value of gravity load of the jth storey; M_b^l, M_b^r——the design value of bending moment at end of beams at left and right sides of frame joint; Mx, My——the design value of bending moment on the centroidal axes x and y of section; N——the design value of axial force; Vc——the design value of shear force in the oblique section of column;
