1.0.1 This code is prepared with a view to unifying the standards of electrical design for transportation buildings, comprehensively implementing technical and economic policies of the nation, and achieving safety and reliability, economy and rationality, technical advancement, energy conservation, and easy maintenance and management.
1.0.2 This code is applicable to the electrical design for the newly-constructed, extended and renovated transportation buildings such as civil airport terminal, traffic hub station, railway passenger station, urban rail transit station, magnetic-levitation train station, port passenger station and passenger coach station, but not to the electrical design for hangar, oil depot, locomotive station, industry specific freight terminal, automobile service station, etc.
1.0.3 The electrical design of transportation buildings shall be people oriented and take a comprehensive control over sound, light and electromagnetic pollution, and shall meet relevant environmental requirements of the nation.
1.0.4 The electrical design of transportation buildings shall adopt safe, reliable, energy-efficient and applicable technologies and products and those nationally obsoleted shall never be adopted.
1.0.5 The electrical design of transportation buildings shall comply with not only this code but also the current relevant standards of the nation.
