1.0.1 This code was prepared with a view to guaranteeing the design quality of the cinema buildings, so as to meet the basic requirements of practicality, safety, hygiene and film technologies.
1.0.2 This code is applicable to such three film types as anamorphic film, masking wide-screen film and standard film of 35mm, as well as to new construction projects, expansion or reconstruction projects of cinema buildings.
1.0.3 If the cinema is to be designed for multiple purposes or functions, the building standards shall be made according to their main applications.
1.0.4 The cinema buildings shall be designed to create safe and satisfactory audio-visual environments for audiences and effective operating environments for staffs.
1.0.5 The cinema buildings shall be designed complying with principles of sustainable development of the film industry and mating with process design of the cinemas.
1.0.6 In additions to provisions in this code, the architectural design of cinema shall also be in accordance with related provisions in current national standards.
