1 General
1.0.1 This specification is developed with the purpose of regulating the test for reinforcing steel bar in concrete structure and member and the evaluation method for test result and improving the reliability and comparability of test result.
1.0.2 This specification is applicable to the site test for spacing, nominal diameter, corrosion property and concrete protective cover thickness of reinforcing steel bar in concrete structure and member.
1.0.3 The following information should be provided before test:
1 Project name, structure and member names and corresponding design drawing for reinforcing steel bar;
2 Names of development, design, construction and supervision organizations;
3 Ferromagnetic material contained in the concrete;
4 Type, grade, design specification, design protective cover thickness of reinforcing steel bar at tested position as well as the reserved pipeline, metal embedded parts etc. in structural members;
5 Information relevant to construction record etc.;
6 Test reason.
1.0.4 Test for reinforcing steel bar in concrete, if any, shall not only meet the requirements of this specification, but also comply with those in the relevant current national standard.

1 General
