1.0.1 This standard is prepared to provide consistent test methods for basic properties of construction mortar to improve mortar test accuracy and level as well as consistent test methods for mortar properties for mortar quality inspection or control.
1.0.2 This standard is applicable to the basic property test of construction mortar which is mainly made from cement-based cementing materials, fine aggregates, and admixtures, and is used for industrial and civil buildings and structures, e.g. masonry, plastering, flooring, etc.
1.0.3 For the purpose of basic property tests of construction mortar, not only the requirements of this standard but also those specified in the current relevant ones shall apply.
