1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, specimen collection, sawing and cutting method of testing piece, basic requirements, moisture content testing, shrinkage testing method, density testing method, water absorbance testing method, parallel-to-grain compression strength and elastic modulus testing method, perpendicular-to-grain compression strength testing method, parallel-to-grain tensile strength and elastic modulus testing method, parallel-to-grain shearing strength testing method, bending strength and elastic modulus testing method and impact toughness testing method for bamboo used in building.
This standard is applicable to determination of physical and mechanical properties of bamboo used in building by adopting bamboo wall flaky specimens.
