3 Basic Requirements
3.1 General Requirements
3.1.1 The structure form of sheet pile quay wall shall be determined through technical and economic comparison and selection according to factors such as natural conditions, operation requirements, construction conditions and project duration.
3.1.2 The sheet pile type structure is applicable to soil base conditions; where the bedrock surface is shallow, full consideration shall be taken for the construction difficulty and economic efficiency.
3.1.3 Certain quantity of permanent observation points shall be set at proper places of sheet pile quay wall to regularly observe the settlement, displacement and tilt of quay.
