Bus emergency hammer
1 Scope
This standard specifies technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of bus emergency hammer.
This standard is applicable to emergency hammers for Categories M2 and M3 buses, and also serve as reference to those for other categories buses may be implemented with reference.

For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.

bus emergency hammer
hand-held window breaking tool which may be conveniently taken out to break the tempered glass of the emergency window for passenger to escape in case of an emergency, and consists of a hammerhead, a hammer handle, a bracket, an alarm device and other components (see Figure 1)

emergency window
window that serves as a passenger exit only in case of an emergency
