1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification, specification and dimension, technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules as well as marking, packaging, transportation and quality certificate for highway fence products.
This standard is applicable to the fences for roads. Fences used for isolation in municipal administration, garden, airport and sports places, etc. may also refer to the provisions of this standard.

3 Product Classification
3.1 By the type of mesh sheet, fences may be classified into steel mesh fence, woven mesh fence, welded wire mesh fence and barbed wire fence.
3.2 By the section form of post, fences may be classified into straight welded steel pipe post fence, structural steel post fence, Y-shaped steel post fence and steel post fences of other sectional forms as well as concrete post fence.
3.3 By anticorrosion form, fences may be classified into hot-dip galvanized fence, hot-dip aluminum plated fence and fence impregnated (coated) with plastic.
