本标准规定了植物油库工程设计所涉及到的库址选择、总平面布置、储运工艺及设备、安全消防、 给水排水、环境保护、 电气装置、采暖通风等方面的一般原则。 　　
本标准适用于新建、扩建和改建的采用焊接钢制立式固定顶油罐的地上植物油库的设计。 　　
本标准不适用于采用非焊接钢制油罐的植物油库，亦不适用于仓房式、地下式植物油库及生产车间附属罐的设计。 　　
　　植物油库设计除应执行本标准外，还应符合国家现行有关标准的规定。
