本标准规定了以内燃机驱动的便携手持式油锯前后手把的最小空隙及相应尺寸。

本标准修订内容：
——强调前手把的结构和位置应保证操作者戴上手套操作油锯时在其整个握持区域员内不妨碍操作；
——强调该握持区域应按照LY/T 1167-2003来测量；
——由4个图改为5个图，并对前一版的4个图的表示方法进行了修改；
——表1分别给出对林用油锯和修枝用油锯的手把空隙和尺寸。
