1 General Provisions
1.0.1 The Specifications are prepared with a view to adapting to the demand of civil airport construction, improving the construction technique level of cement concrete pavement in airfield area of civil airport and ensuring the engineering quality.
1.0.2 The Specifications are applicable to the construction of cement concrete pavement in airfield area of newly-built and rebuilt (extended) civil airports (including the civil parts of civil and military airports) in China. As for general aviation airport, the construction of cement concrete pavement may be implemented by reference to the Specifications. Construction of cement concrete pavement foundation is not covered in the Specifications.
1.0.3 For construction of cement concrete pavement, corresponding technical measures shall be taken according to the design document, construction conditions, hydrological geology, engineering geology and meteorological conditions, so as to ensure engineering quality.
1.0.4 The construction of cement concrete pavement shall not only meet the requirements of the Specifications, but also meet those specified in current relevant mandatory standards and specifications.
1.0.5 The construction organization shall set a laboratory on construction site to inspect the construction quality of materials and cement concrete.
2 Terms
2.0.1 Cement concrete pavement
The pavement composed of cement concrete surface course, base course and bed course (sometimes unavailable).
2.0.2 Plain cement concrete pavement surface course
The cement concrete pavement surface course not reinforced except in the pavement surface course joint and local areas.
2.0.3 Reinforced cement concrete pavement surface course
The cement concrete pavement surface course reinforced in the whole cement concrete slab in order to prevent potential crack and gap expansion.
2.0.4 Cement concrete pavement overlays
The cement concrete surface course overlaid on original cement concrete pavement so as to enhance its load-bearing capacity or improve the pavement surface property.
3 Construction Preparation
3.1 General Requirements
3.1.1 Prior to the construction of cement concrete pavement surface course, the construction organization shall prepare detailed construction organization design according to design document and construction conditions. The construction organization shall be familiar with construction drawings, information and relevant documents, and learn about the construction site and its ambient conditions. The development organization shall organize the design, supervision and construction organizations to carry out design technique disclosure. The construction organization shall get done with construction technique disclosure with construction personnel concerned.
3.1.2 Water and electricity supply, traffic road, concrete mixing plant, material storage yard, warehouse and etc. shall be properly settled prior to construction.
3.1.3 Test for the material and mix ratio of cement concrete shall be carried out before other preparation so as to determine the specification and quantity of materials accordingly.
3.1.4 Sufficient materials shall be prepared prior to construction. Upon approaching of such materials as cement, sand, stone, additives and steel bars to on site, their variety, quality, specification and quantity shall be respectively inspected.
