MT/T 716-2019 Technical delivery requirements of steel wire ropes for coal mine hoisting
1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for delivery, pre-suspension inspection, examination and test, inspection rules, packaging, marking, quality certificate, and safety labels of steel wire ropes for coal mine hoisting.
The steel wire ropes for coal mine hoisting include: hoisting ropes for vertical shafts, hoisting ropes for inclined shafts, ropes for suspending sinking platforms, inclined ropes for personnel transport, ropes for driving belt conveyors and inclined endless rope winches, and ropes for aerial passenger devices.
This standard is applicable various round strand, shaped strand, and compacted strand ropes for coal mine hoisting.
This standard does not apply to flat steel wire ropes for balancing and locked coil wire ropes.

3 Materials of steel wire ropes
3.1 Steel wires for ropes
The steel wires for ropes shall meet the requirements of steel wires for important purposes in GB/T 8919, and the compacted strand ropes shall meet the requirements of steel wires for important purposes in YB/T 5343.
3.2 Rope cores
3.2.1 Fiber cores
The fiber cores shall meet the requirements of GB/T 15030 or be made of jute, synthetic fiber and other fibers that can meet the requirements. Unless otherwise required by the purchaser, the fiber cores shall be soaked with anti-corrosion and anti-rust lubricant.
3.2.2 Steel cores
The steel cores are classified into independent wire rope cores [IWR, IWRC, IWRC(K)], compacted strand parallel-laid wire rope cores [PWRC(K)], and wire strand cores (IWS, WSC). For compacted strand ropes, if the purchaser has no special requirements, the supplier shall determine whether the core is a compacted strand core.
3.3 Greases
Unless otherwise required by the purchaser, the surface of the steel wire rope shall be evenly and continuously coated with anti-rust lubricant. When the purchaser requires the steel wire rope to have friction-enhancing performance, the rope shall be coated with friction-enhancing grease without any missed coating.
The grease and hemp core grease for steel wire rope shall meet the requirements of NB/SH/T 0387 or other relevant requirements.
4 Requirements
4.1 General requirements
4.1.1 The steel wire ropes shall have safety labels for mining products.
4.1.2 The steel wire ropes shall have a quality certificate, in which the requirements for steel wire ropes shall comply with the applicable standards and requirements of safety labels for mining products.
4.1.3 The newly received steel wire ropes shall be subjected to performance inspection in accordance with this standard, and may be kept for use only after passing the inspection.
4.1.4 The steel wire ropes that have been stored for more than one year shall, before suspension, be re-inspected for performance in accordance with this standard, and may be used only after passing the re-inspection.
4.1.5 The safety factor (the ratio of the measured aggregate breaking force of qualified steel wires to the maximum static tension they bear) of steel wire ropes for various purposes at the time of suspension shall meet the relevant requirements of the Coal Mine Safety Regulations.
4.2 Requirements for steel wire ropes
4.2.1 Diameter
4.2.1.1 Nominal diameter
The nominal diameter shall meet the requirements of GB/T 8918 and YB/T 5359, otherwise it shall be agreed by the supplier and the purchaser. The nominal diameter shall be indicated in the quality certificate of the steel wire ropes.
4.2.1.2 Diameter deviation and out-of-roundness
See Table 1 for the diameter deviation and out-of-roundness.
