3.2 Inspection items and requirements
3.2.1 The physical and chemical inspection items of welding electrodes and rods shall be carried out in accordance with those specified in Table 1.
3.2.2 The chemical composition of welding electrodes and rods shall meet the requirements of GB/T 10858.
3.2.3 The radiographic testing of deposited metal of welding electrodes shall be carried out according to NB/T 47013.2-2015 and the radiographic testing level shall not be inferior to Level AB and the quality grade shall be Grade I.
3.2.4 The rods shall be inspected for bead-on-plate bead, which requires good fluidity and no splash of the molten pool, and regular shape, uniform width and height, smooth surface, no crack and no porosity of the bead.
3.2.5 The deposited metal of welding electrodes and the overlayed metal of rods shall be subjected to bend test. When the bend specimen is bent to the specified angle, any defect in the form of an opening with a single length greater than 3 mm is not allowed in any direction in the deposited metal on the stretched plane of the specimen; and any defect in the form of an opening on the edges or corners of deposited metal of the specimen may be omitted, but the length of those caused by incomplete fusion, slag inclusion or other welding defects shall be counted.
