NB/T 47044-2014 Valves for power station 1 Scope 1.1 This standard specifies the requirements for valves for power station in terms of pressure-temperature ratings, general requirements, ordering requirements, design and manufacture, materials, welding, heat treatment, repair, inspection, testing, marking, painting, delivery, packaging, delivery documents, valve installation and commissioning, quality assurance, environmental protection, etc. 1.2 This standard applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of cast, forged and fabricated valves with flanged, threaded and welding end connections. It covers steel valves and nickel‑based alloy valves for thermal power generating units, such as globe valves, gate valves, isolation valves, check valves, safety valves, relief valves, control valves, pressure reducing valves, steam converting valves, throttle valves, feed distribution valves, blow-down valves, quick opening and closing valves, butterfly valves, ball valves, circulating pump outlet valves, blocking valves, high-pressure heater three-way valves, and extraction check valves, applicable to ultra (super) critical and lower parameter conditions. a) PN designation: ——Nominal pressure ≤ 80MPa; maximum working temperature ≤ 430°C; ——Working pressure ≤ 35MPa; maximum working temperature ≤ 625°C; ——Working pressure ≤ 8MPa; maximum working temperature ≤ 648°C. b) Class designation: ——Pressure classes ranging from Class 150 to Class 4500. 1.3 This standard may also be referenced for valves applied to units with alternative steam parameters, industrial boilers, heat recovery boilers and other special equipment. 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. PN designated valves shall be ordered by PN pressure class and DN, while Class designated valves shall be ordered by Class pressure class and NPS. The ordering of valves shall comply with the provisions of Annex A. Where necessary, the relevant provisions in applicable European and American standards may be adopted as the special requirements of this standard and shall be incorporated into the order contract. 5 General requirements 5.1 Qualification 5.1.1 The valve manufacturer shall hold a manufacturing license for pressure piping components of special equipment. 5.1.2 Manufacturers of safety valves and electromagnetic relief valves shall hold a manufacturing license for safety accessories and safety protection devices of special equipment. 5.1.3 Personnel engaged in welding and nondestructive testing of pressure piping components of special equipment, as well as valve operation personnel and safety valve commissioning personnel, shall acquire corresponding qualification certificates for special equipment.

PN designated valves shall be ordered by PN pressure class and DN, while Class designated valves shall be ordered by Class pressure class and NPS. The ordering of valves shall comply with the provisions of Annex A. Where necessary, the relevant provisions in applicable European and American standards may be adopted as the special requirements of this standard and shall be incorporated into the order contract. 5 General requirements 5.1 Qualification 5.1.1 The valve manufacturer shall hold a manufacturing license for pressure piping components of special equipment. 5.1.2 Manufacturers of safety valves and electromagnetic relief valves shall hold a manufacturing license for safety accessories and safety protection devices of special equipment. 5.1.3 Personnel engaged in welding and nondestructive testing of pressure piping components of special equipment, as well as valve operation personnel and safety valve commissioning personnel, shall acquire corresponding qualification certificates for special equipment.
