3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 21465 and the following apply.
3.1
pressure-temperature rating
maximum allowable working pressure, expressed in gauge pressure, at the specified working temperature for the selected materials, indicated by a pressure class
3.2
maximum allowable working pressure (MAWP)
maximum pressure (gauge pressure) that a valve can withstand at the specified design temperature, which is the initial pressure for overpressure limitation
3.3
bare maximum continuous pressure rating
rule for determining pressure-temperature ratings, which is the maximum pressure that a material can withstand at the specified temperature, including limitations on material stress
4 Order requirements
