QB/T 1271:2012 Fur — Physical and mechanical tests — Determination of shrinkage temperature English
1 Scope
This standard specifies a method for determination of the shrinkage temperature of fur.
This standard is applicable to all furs.
2 Normative references
The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies.

GB/T 6682 Water for analytical laboratory use - Specification and test methods (GB/T 6682-2008, ISO 3696:1987, MOD)
3 Definitions
heating medium
heating medium specified in this standard refers to water or glycerin
4 Principle
Shrinkage temperature refers to the temperature at which the fur test piece is heated at a specified rate in heating medium until a sudden shrinkage occurs. The selection principle of heating medium is that when the test piece has not shrunk when the water is boiling, it should be resampled and tested in glycerol.
