QB/T 1745 consists of two parts under the general title Fountain pen inks:
——Part 1: Non-pigment inks;
——Part 2: Carbonic inks.
This is Part 1 of QB/T 1745.
This part is a revision of QB/T 1745-1993 Fountain pen inks.
The following main technology changes have been made with respect to GB/T 1745-1993:
——The standard name is modified;
——The application scope is modified; (see Clause 1; Clause 1 of Edition 1993);
——The product classification by color is modified (see 3.1; 3.1 of Edition 1993);
——The product classification by usage is added (see 3.3);
——The requirements for black ink and red ink are added (see 4.1);
——The requirements for document writing ink are added (see 4.2);
——The definition of test method is deleted (see Clause 6; Clause 5 of Edition 1993);
——The light fastness is modified as light resistance, the test method is modified (see 4.1 and 6.5; 4.1 and 5.5 of Edition 1993);
——The test methods for diffusion, water resistance and interval writing are modified (see 4.1, 6.3, 6.4 and 6.7; 4.1, 5.3, 5.4 and 5.7 of Edition 1993);
——The capacity tolerance is modified as net quantity (see 4.3 and 6.15; 4.2 and 5.10 of Edition 1993);
——The requirements and test methods for scuff resistance, ethanol resistance, hydrochloric acid resistance, ammonia resistance and bleaching resistance are added (see 4.2, 6.10, 6.11, 6.12, 6.13 and 6.14);
——The requirements and test method for migration element content are added (see 4.4 and 6.18);
——The environmental conditions are added (see Clause 5).
This part was proposed by the China National Light Industry Council.
This part is under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee on Writing Instrument of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 378).
This part replaces the former professional standard QB/T 1745-1993 Fountain pen inks issued by the Ministry of Light Industry from the implementation date hereof.
The previous editions of this part are as follows:

Fountain pen inks - Part1: Non-pigment inks
1 Scope
This part specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules as well as marking, packaging, transportation and storage of non-pigment inks for fountain pens and dip pens.
This part is applicable to the iron tannate ink and dye-based ink for fountain pens and dip pens.

3 Classification
3.1 Classified according to the color: blue-black ink, pure blue ink, black ink and red ink.
3.2 Classified according to the performance: high-quality ink and normal ink.
3.3 Classified according to the usage: general writing ink and document writing ink.
4 Requirements
4.1 The physical and chemical properties of general writing inks shall meet those specified in Table 1.
