Threads for shoes
1 Scope
This standard specifies the product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and judgment, as well as marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of sewing threads used for sewing uppers and soles of shoes.
This standard is applicable to sewing threads used for sewing uppers and soles of general shoes.
This standard is not applicable to sewing threads used for sewing uppers and soles of shoes for labor, protection and special purposes.

3.1 Classification by using parts:
——Threads for upper (including inner thread for sewing boots felt);
——Sewing threads for sole (including sewing thread for rib and shovel);

3.2 Classification by materials:
——Natural fiber threads: silk thread, cotton thread, cotton glazed thread and ramie thread;
——Synthetic fiber threads: nylon thread, polyester thread, vinylon thread and acrylic thread.
——Hybrid threads: polyester-cotton thread and core spun thread.
