Marking pens
1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules as well as marking, packaging, transport and storage of marking pens.
This standard is applicable to marking pens for making mark or sign on one or more materials such as paper, wood, metal, glass, plastic, enamel and ceramic.

3 Classification
3.1 Marking pens may be divided into two types by ink, namely water-base ink markers (including coloured pens) using water-base inks and oil-base ink markers using oil-base ink.
3.2 According to its water storage structure, marking pens may be divided into reservoir type markers and direct liquid markers.
4 Requirements
4.1 The performance of the marking pens shall meet the requirements specified in Table 1.
