1 Scope This standard specifies requirements, test methods, inspection rules as well as marking, packaging, transport and storage of watches with jewels and precious metal alloys (hereafter referred to as “watches”). This standard is applicable to mechanical watches or analogue quartz watches with: ——jewels inlaid in casing; ——the dial bonded with jewels; ——all or part of the casing made of precious metals and their alloys with purity (‰) not lower than that specified in this standard. It may be used as a reference for pocket watches and for movement made of non-functional jewels, precious metals and their alloy materials. 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document.
