Storage temperature range: -40°C to 90°C. 4.2 Performance Requirements 4.2.1 Flammability Characteristics The flammability characteristics of steering wheel heating devices for buses shall comply with the provisions of GB 38262. For other types of vehicles, the flammability characteristics shall comply with the provisions of GB 8410. 4.2.2 Insulation Impedance After testing according to 5.4, the insulation impedance shall be not less than 10.0 MΩ. 4.2.3 Heating Rate After testing according to 5.5, with heating turned on for 5 minutes, the average temperature of the steering wheel rim surface shall not be lower than 10°C (reference for steering wheels with HOD function). For heated steering wheels using secondary foaming processes or other processes, the average temperature of the steering wheel rim surface after heating is turned on for 5 minutes shall not be lower than 0°C, as shown in Figure 1.
