1 Scope
This standard specifies the definitions, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of automotive switch.
This standard is applicable to the automotive switches with nominal voltages of 12V and 24V (hereinafter referred to as switches).

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
mechanical switch
switch which realizes circuit on-off by using the internal mechanical structure
3.2
electronic switch
switch which realizes circuit on-off by using the internal electronic device
4 Requirements
4.1 General requirements
4.1.1 General.
The switch shall meet the requirements of this standard and be manufactured according to the drawings and technical documents approved through specified procedure.
The graphic symbols for the switch shall meet the requirements of GB 4094 and GB 4094.2. The pattern engraving, printing or color marking shall be set correctly and clearly.
The switches with lighting characteristics shall be provided with uniform light transmission and free from light leakage. Color code and brightness shall meet the requirements of drawings.
