This standard specifies the test items, test equipment, test procedure and data processing for the dynamic comfort test for automobile seat.
This standard is applicable to cushioned seats and suspended seats of automobile.

3 Test items
3.1 Static load test
The static stiffness and hysteresis deformation rate of the seat cushion1) and the backrest are measured.
3.2 Frequency response characteristics test
The frequency response characteristics of the seat are measured under input of a simple harmonic vibration or broadband white noise random vibration.
3.3 Random vibration test2)
The weighted acceleration r.m.s. value on the passenger seat cushion is measured under random vibration input during analog automobile driving.
Notes:
1) In this standard, the suspended seat also includes a suspending device.
2) This test is carried out when the quality supervision organization deems it necessary. If the equipment conditions are not available, the test can be replaced by a smooth road test.
