This standard is applicable to service brakes of various passenger cars and two brakes (front/rear) are required to be tested.
1 Test Item
1.1 Brake efficiency test.
1.2 Brake heat fade-and-recovery test.
1.3 Pipeline failure and assistor failure tests.
1.4 Wear test.
2 Test Apparatus and Instrument
2.1 Apparatus
2.1.1 Inertia type double-wheel braking bench (or single-wheel bench); its acceleration performance shall meet the cycle time specified in fade test.
2.1.2 Bench pressure-feed system; it shall meet the requirements for pressure under various braking conditions and remain stable.
2.1.3 Bench cooling device; it shall keep the wind speed at tested brake be 11m/s.
2.2 Instrument and the precision requirement
Instrument for indicating and recording braking moment, brake temperature, braking distance, braking time, braking pipeline liquid pressure and rotational speed of bench axle; with allowable tolerance equal to or less than ±2% of instrument full range.
2.3 The allowable tolerance of control parameters such as braking pipeline liquid pressure and brake temperature is ±5%. The allowable tolerance of rotational speed of bench axle is ±2%. Rotational inertia shall include the inertia of bench rotating part, and its allowable tolerance is ±5%.
