1 Scope
This part specifies the dimensions and structural forms of hoses and spigots for clamps.
This part is applicable to hose/spigot connections with spring band clamps in accordance with QC/T 621.1.
2 Normative references
The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies.
QC/T 621.1 Spring band hose clamps - Part 1: Types, dimensions, materials
DIN 71550 Crimping for hose connections in pipelines
DIN 73379-1 Fuel hoses - Part 1: Dimensions, material, designation
DIN 73379-2 Fuel hoses - Part 2: Requirements, testing
DIN 73411-1 Coolant water lines in vehicles - Hoses and hose elbows - Part 1: Dimensions, material, designation
DIN 73411-2 Coolant water lines in vehicles - Hoses and hose elbows - Part 2: Requirements, testing
3 System
3.1 Clamp/hose/spigot
Correct functioning of the clamp/hose/spigot system is assured by the following three factors:
——clamping forces: for the sealing effect including long-time function;
——pull-off forces: to take up dynamic axial loads are to be tested under special circumstances;
——geometrical dimensions: for safe assembling.
Minimum requirements are made on the geometry of the hoses and spigots to ensure leak-proofness in the system. To attain these minimum requirements, the dimensions, tolerances, mould offset, parting edge and waviness of the spigot and hose must be co-ordinated with each other.
Selection of the spigot form is dependent on the material and production procedure for the spigot.
